Thumbs up Retro Combo Shootout! Fender Bassman TV 15 vs Ampeg 100r or 200r

Let's get your feedback on these gorgeous amps!! Everything from tone to power, line out, reliability, portability. What amp is better for a nice size venue, with and without PA support? Why did Ampeg stop making them? Is the Fender as good or better? Post Pics

the bassman will go louder and sound more like a fender amp while the b100r and b200r sound like ampeg and cost less. i think they're both great amps, but for the price of the bassman, they should have made it expandable, and for me that's a deal breaker.

the reason the ampegs got discontinued is because ampeg's got two new class d micro heads 350 and 500w and new fliptop cabs with 115 or 210 coming out. a head and cab will be about the same price as a b100r or b200r, they're available as separates, and they're expandable. these will definitely hang with the tv 15 and cost less. i'm a fan of what fender did with that tv 15, but if only they made it expandable...

Cool!
New micro heads and separate fliptop cabs from Ampeg is just what I have been hoping for!
Nothing on their site yet, any idea when they'll be available?
