Retubing Ampeg SVT-III (not Pro)

I've got an old (early 90's) SVT-II that I'd like to retube but I'm not sure what the OEM 12AX7 tubes were, or is there a better choice? I've got some NOS ones (RCA, Raytheon) but will I hear much difference if I put them in? Or would a cheap EH or Sovtek work just as well? Your thoughts welcome - Rich

If you already have NOS tubes try them and see what you get. Then you can tell us.

Its easy.. just put them in there.. I have an early 90s non pro too.. it sounds WAYYYYYY better then the pro version... much closer to a real SVT than the pro.. iused the EH tubes in the pre since they were less micro-phonic than another NOS that i also had..
I had a 3 pro and the 3 non pro.. got rid of the Pro version and keeping this baby..
Nice amp you have there.. hold onto it
