I'm going to replace my Acousitc B100 with something eventually, and I like to plan ahead. I'm probably going to get a 2x10 head/cab. I'd want to know what you guys think would be the best RIG, not the best head or best cab, and I want to keep it under $800. I could probably stretch $900 depending on how long I want to save.
So far here's what I have in mind.
Heads:
Hartke LH500
Ashdown MAG 300H EVO II
Warwick ProFet 3.2
Cabs:
Pretty much set on an Avatar 2x10
I want some suggestions and input.
Thanks,
Luke

No first-hand experience with any of those heads but my Ashdown EB180 makes my Avatar cab very happy.

p.s. You seem to know what you want and that's cool but have you considered just getting a second B100? You'd have more speaker than a single 210 cab. Just a thought.

Just a thought. | No, I haven't really thought of getting another B100 until you said that. But I want a really nice, professional (not that I'm a pro by any stretch of the imagination) sound, and the B100 just doesn't seem to do that for me. Also, I would have two bigass boxes in my basement instead of two smaller ones.

If you're not in a hurry, add a GK head to your list of stuff to look for, especially used. A Backline 600 for $150 or less, a 400RB-III for a bit more, or a 700RB.

I used to rock an avatar B210 delta and SB112 neo stack. I think the better tone was coming out of the 112, but I blew the speaker. The 210 was louder but the 112 had more balls. I was going to replace the 112 with another (Peavey Tour) 210, but I didnt feel that 4x10 was going to be any better. Now im about to drop the money for a TB153 and just get the biggest, kickinest bass woofer known to man. Ill be running it with either a Backline 600, 400RB-III or 700RB-II and I dont think I'll need more than one cab considering all I've read about them. But dont take my word for it. See what GreenBoy, billfitzmaurice, or rpsands have to say about the TB153 cab/woofer.
However I think the intro price $450 shipped on the TB153 is only for another week or so, then it will go up to $550 shipped.
