Review: Hartke A35
If you own or have owned a Hartke A35, this is the place to let the world know how you feel about them.
The Hartke A35 35 watt bass combo is a very good unit for the price. I traded a Sx Les Paul copy for mine about a year ago, i have not had a single problem with it yet. It has a built in limiter which is really nice, and performs well. This amp has line out for recording, cd line in, line out the head can be connected to an external speaker. It has a very bright sound, and is very suitable for quick jazzy, bluesy playing. For a 35 watt amp, it has a 10" driver that can shake up your living room something fierce, or could gig small sets. I first used it with my AXL player deluxe 5 string, It hits the Lb String nicely for a 10" (although a 12" is much better for a 5 string). I recently got my hands on a Ltd. Edition Washburn Dimebag Darrell DB-40, The quality of the bass has no issues coming through the Hartke. When i crank it up to 3/4 volume, with the limiter at 1 o'clock, i can shake everything in my jam room. It has a very rich, deep sound when Using Emg's. When i play my 5 string through it i find it limits me from cranking it up by rattling and breaking up once the volume turns past 1/4 way. This is a amp is very good quality for the Msrp of $200, I would give it a 9 out of 10.
