^^^That should have been the subject line of your thread. Please edit it, it'll help anyone else who searches the forum with the same question.

No. An 8 ohm 4 speaker cab has either 4- 32 ohm speakers in parrallel or 4- 8 ohm speakers in series/ parallel.

Your options are 32, 8, or 2 ohm wiring.

Really? What configuration of drivers could be wired 4 or 8 in a four speaker cab?

As Plstrns said, and assuming all the speakers are the same and each gets the same power, an 8 ohm 4x10 has to have either 4x32 ohm or 4x8 ohm speakers.

Likewise, a 4 ohm 4x10 has to have either 4x16 ohm or 4x4 ohm speakers.

The only ways you *could* have a 4/8 ohm switchable 4x10 is either by

1) not having all the speakers operating in either the 4 or 8 ohm setting. Then it would be something like a 4x10/2x10 though.

2) mixing impedances of speakers to get something close to 4 and 8 ohm settings. Not every speaker will get the same power, so it's not a whole lot better than choice 1).

To answer the OP's question: No, you can rewire it as either 2 or 32 ohms only, depending on the speakers used, if you want all 4 speakers to get the same power.

No ... unless "rewiring" includes installing different speakers.

I would need new speakers and then rewire it, so it would be just as easy to buy another cabinet.....
I just bought the Eden WTX500 and I'm gonna go ahead and buy a Aguilar 4 ohm 2 12 cabinet and be done....This is my secondary rig I use around town in a funk band and some sub work, my big rig stays on the truck, so I think I'll be fine with this semi-micro setup...Thanks again for your answers and as always, opinions....

In the bassplaying world, the answer is NONE. Search "accuswitch" for a more indepth answer.

The exception might be dual voicecoil speakers but they're found mostly in the car audio sub world. You "could" make the numbers come out but it would be of no benefit as you'd having one working coil dragging around a dead one.
