Its a combination of a 240w amp (at 4 ohms) using an 8 ohm load... so what 180w at 8 ohms? AND a single 210.

I'd use a different amp (the gk mb500 in your poll is a loud one) and add another rs210.

The RH heads are plenty loud, provided that the preset kevels are set correctly. The amp's volume capability is not the issue here.

It is around 450w at 4 ohms.

I'm actually really impressed that 10 percent of people wrote Ampeg SVt... would have expected less than 3 o.O

Get another RS-210 or RS-212 - it will be louder. However, I play with two guitarist, keyboards and a drummer and my set up is the same as yours. I play a Spector NS-2A or Rebop for most gigs and I never push the volume past 12 o'oclock.

Don't want to start that whole education again?
Lets just say let the buyer beware and do your homework. Each person's ears will be the final judge of satisfaction.

That is why I said "around"

The point is the OP is not getting full wattage with a single 8ohm cab (to the best of my knowledge there is no 4 ohm version of the RS210).

The RH450 despite the actual rating should be loud enough.

I'm also thinking you'd need a 4X10 to compete with that drummer and guitarist. Or 2 2X10s.

A 4 ohm 210 I seriously doubt would help any. Two 210's would be a great help, just not enough cone area exists here for the need (regardless of how one plays with the "power ratings" of the amp head).

Add another 210

Ignore the wattage argument. It happens everytime a TC thread pops up.

That amp is very very loud.

Yep, that is what I recommended in my earlier post. I was just saying that the OP didn't specify what impedance his cab was so I was assuming it was an 8ohm.

it sounds like adding a second cab is the most realistic suggestion but is increasing your volume level going to cause the others to get louder too? i can see you adding a second 2x10 and then the guitarist wheels in an 8x10 he has been saving for the perfect situation.

Two options then:
1) Find a new guitarist.
2) Find a new band cause that one is going nowhere!

Isn't it odd that whenever somebody is getting drowned out that the solution is for that person to turn up rather than have everyone else turn down?

I also do sound engineering. Your band is loud but is the sound CLEAN? It might just be a case where everyone else should calm the heck down. Tell the drummer he doesn't have to bang the head off the snare. Tell the guitarist to TURN IT DOWN! We musicians tend to play loud but to the crowd the band sounds a mess. If the rest of the band plays softer I bet your sound will be cleaner.
