Found one of these for sale.... can't find any information about on any forums or from the Rick website. This a combo amp with a 15" speaker.

I've been looking for solid combo 15" for awhile and I think this is the one, but before I shell out the $$$, I'm hoping someone can give some info.

Thanks, Hux

I bought one yesterday from a pawn shop for $90. There's a TR120B for sale nearby as well that I'd like to buy also.

Like you, I haven't found much info except for this site:

Rickenbacker Amplifiers - TR & R Series

Not powerful, but pretty cool amps I think, with nice tone.

I own a TR35B combo and I love it, great tone.
It's a 70 watt combo with a 15 inch speaker.
It has both the Rickenbacker and ROAD badges on it.

Sounds like what I bought. Mine had the ROAD badge, Rickenbacker in red, w/ red capped knobs. I thought the 35B was 35w, 75B @ 75w, and the 120B @ 120w, but all of them have a 15" speaker.

Does the 35B have a horn and a switch to turn it off?

No horn and no switch. I just read somewhere that the 35B was actually 70 watts, I haven't checked it to see what it puts out yet. It's very loud if it's only 35 watts, probably the loudest 35 watt solid state bass amp I have ever heard.

It looks exactly like this, but with a ROAD badge on the grill as well.

Seems like there were a few permutations. Mine's an R75B, w/ horn and horn switch. So actually I was wrong thinking it was a TR series. Should have paid closer attention, but also don't care too much for $90.

Ultimately the guy wanted $400 for the R75b which is just ridiculous... He kept going on and on about how it was 'rare' and 'vintage', whatever...

It sounded okay, the tone was kind of dry and flat, no real punch. Despite the 15", it really could not handle my fiver... the B was just lost in mud.

I got a GK 700RB 210 combo instead and am totally satisfied. After trying out a lot of 115 combos, my opinion is that 210 sounds better overall.

AND, I think there's a reason Rickenbacker is known for instruments and not for amplifiers!
