Okay, I have a gig coming up with my AC/DC cover band, and I am wondering which rig to bring. We don't try to look the part, we just try to get the sound/feel/vibe right. That said, it is a bit of a production, and a bigger rig fits the theme a bit better, so no MB Fusion with a Thunderchild (though this combo could certainly do the gig, if I wanted to go small).
I've put up some of the rigs I am considering, and I'd like your collective take. No promises that I'll bring what y'all pick, but I will most definitely take it under consideration. |

| | | | If you want an authentic AC/DC sound, Cliff Williams from AC/DC uses Ampeg SVT-810E cabs and SVT 4 PRO heads. |

AC/DC cover band..........man, that's gotta be fun. |

But yes, this is why the SVT rig tops the list. I don't have a 4Pro, though I do have a 7Pro, which can sound just like the 4Pro. But ya know, that big ole SVT looks pretty damn cool sitting up there... |

Suppose if you wnat to break the norm, you could show respect to the Europeans by using the V8. |

AC/DC always had a wall of cabs behind them IIRC, so two full stacks would look right.
Can you slave any other amps off of the SVT and go with 2 610s and 2 215s? I think they'll be able to hear you (in the next county). |

But really as long as you are using a 400 watt tube head and not a sissy little 300 watt tube head I will be happy...
