Rig for Lakland 55-02 deluxe

I just bought an amber Lakland 5502 Deluxe w maple board and im looking for a new rig also. I play Funk/RnB/Rock, and i need a rig thats fat in the lowend but still has that HIfi tone. Im usually playing medium to large venues. I prefer something light, but I dont need it. I just need some awesome tone. Any suggestions? Im thinking of the GK Fusion 550 as a head, and also possibly the aguilar ag500. I currently play an epifani ps600 and a 212 Low Down sound cab. Thanks

I think the GK is a good choice. The Markbass LMII is good if you like light amps, or the GB Shuttle, but I prefer the tone of my GK amps, personally. Either one will give you a nice hi-fi sound and a good bottom end.

What don't you like about your current rig? As to a replacement, there's never been as much to choose from as there is now. Time to go amp shopping.

Yep AG500 would be a great choice.
There are always some for sale around here, get one and never look back. Since I got mine I havent used my DB750. Not because it sounds better, but my back is happier and it sounds great in it's own way.

I can vouch for the Aggie AG500. Match that with a GS212 or something and you're set.

So the AG500 has fat low end but still a kinda hifi tone? How do you think a fusion 550 would sound with a Aguilar DB 212.
