I just picked a Road 440 up for a $100 off of Craigslist a month ago and I couldn't be happier (Unless it was an SVT/810). Not in the greatest cosmetic condition, obviously it's been on-stage a time or two over it's lifetime. I took it home, opened up and cleaned the pots, wiped it down to get the dirt and debris out of the heat sink fins and it's operating like new again. Really has a great tone if you keep the pre and power under 8. It's got a great growl (comparable to that of a tube head) once turned up past 8. I picked up a vintage 400 watt Carvin 2x15 cab to go with and it's just a very capable club rig to gig with, plus, it's 1/2 the weight of a tube head since it's all solid state!
