Question Rockin bass amp

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok so heres the deal, I'm in a band with a drummer and me (a bassist). Now I was wondering does anyone know any good amp heads (guitar or bass) that could get me a massive distorted sound? Oh and I prefer tubes

This one has a tube pre with an overdrive channel that can get downright nasty!

Don't know why the link isn't working, but it's in classifieds.

Now that is sexy, but I don't know. I have some really bad experiences with fender amps in the past mainly the rumble when it just decided to quit on a prepaid gig.

Rumble amps are were in my opinion their throw away entry level amps for years. Their new Rumble amps look a lot more promising but that amp is in a league that those rumbles will never know. I'm a fan of that TB1200. Don't know his name but the bassist of The Gaslight Anthem used one of those on the last tour I saw them at. It sounded great.

Non-master volume, early 80's JCM800.

On another note, how do you have a band with just a bassist and a drummer? I'm hoping at least one of you can sing, preferably both, but still?

And that drummer is carrying the vocal all by himself, that bass player needs to be helping out there, adding more harmonies, etc.

In all seriousness, not my cup-o-tea but talented none the less. How'dya like the Ric basses? I've always found them to look great but not play very well. (probably get dumped on for that too.)

Ha ya we can both sing, oddly enough we met each other at an acapella group in H.S. XD So yes there's harmonies, but mostly driving bass and house-ish beats haha. Right now I'm using a HEAVILY modified Bronco bass through an SWR silverado and a electro harmonix russian big muff fuzz but its still not enough. I want that nice tube umph. Btw have any of you guys used a guitar head? I was looking into that and thought that might do the trick.

FWIW, I have the TB-600, identical to the one for sale but less power, and it's built like a brick $#!+house. It's pro level kit.

Comparing the amp for sale to an older Rumble combo is like comparing a GK 800RB to a Backline combo, flagship vs. entry-level.
