Roland Cube 20XL or CB30?

Sign in to disble this ad
Need help deciding between these, i can get a new discontinued CB30 for £144 or the new model 20XL for £170. It seems like a no brainer getting more power for less money so in that way its the CB30, but I have tried the 20XL and really like it, also that has a Drive knob which the CB30 doesn't, and is a newer and better looking model. Any thoughts?

Cube 20xl bass

I noticed nobody has helped you with your decision. I own a cube 20xl bass and really like it. It sounds really clean connected to my modified p-bass, with my bass it makes zero noise at idle. Its perfect for late night practicing when the "power squeeze" function is activated. Its not powerful enough to gig with, if you want a practice amp that has good tone and plenty of features, go with the roland.

Kudos for the CB-30, I play through it very often.

It's a little difficult imagining the need for a drive knob on a 30 watt SS amp. My guess is that wanted to repackage the amp with slight differences.
