Roland Cube - Possible speaker issue HELP !

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi !

I've just bought a used Roland Cube 100 and the speaker farts when the volume is at 9 o'clock and over, from the low E and down. Speaker problem? Speaker connection? Amp's limitations? External factors are covered (tried different basses, cables, etc.). Any ideas?

hmmm...

Shouldn't fart out at 9:00 even with the bass knob up.

Bass knob is at 1 o'clock... active basses but bass set at flat... input pad ON. Granted, I've got high output basses (including a G&L L2k).

Believe me, I would if I could. I bought it from a person who had put a classified ad. I doubt I'd get a refund...

I need to find the source of the problem, if any, to get it fixed.

Thanks. I've just gave it a push. It seems the farting occur mostly when using the SVT model, it's heard only when the volume is near half-way on some of the other models. I bought it mainly for lower volume practice so I guess it's fine. I'll know I won't rip someone off if I sell it back, when I get tired of it. I've become soooo unexperimented when it comes to cheaper gear...
