Roland D-Bass 210 and the low B

I was wanting to know if anyone had any experience with this amp and 5/6 string basses. I've heard clips of the amp it seems to sound very good, but I have no way to play it in person. Normally I'd wait til I could play it, but I have some important gigs and my Ampeg rig is out of commission. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
Matt

I have a D Bass 210, and the D BASS115, and they are absolutely the best amps I have ever owned. I play an Ibanez BTB 6string, no problem for the low B. We rehearse with only the 210, no problem. I use both pieces live, and the 15 fills out the bottom. I wouldn't hesitate to use only the 210, it has plenty of power, and truly amazing tone. They are worth checking out, I can't see anybody being dissappointed. Please check them out for yourself, and give me your thoughts. I bought the 210 about 2 years ago, and added the 115 about 10 months later. I think you'll be impressed.

Regards

I love those amps.
Along with the 15 should be a MONSTER rig.

Alain Caron used them fro a few years. And he's sorta on the weird side ala' Eric Johnosn regard tone.

I'm Curious

I work at a small mom & pop instrument store in CT and we sell Roland gear. We don't carry or sell much high end stuff but had occasion to special order a D-Bass 210 for a great regular customer of ours that wanted one. His reports on it are excellent. He loves it.

What I can't figure out is why the frack anyone would pay $1500 for a 400w 2X10" combo. I haven't heard the rig first hand - and I'm SURE that it sounds great and is very flexible yada yada yada - BUT I simply cannot get past the cost. Can anyone respond as to why this combo is worth the money they're asking for it. I absolutely LOVE the cube guitar and bass combos and I'm a big BOSS guy for effects. So I'm all for Roland. But what is going on with the cost of this unit?

You can find really good deals on these used, open box, and b-stock; which is the way I'll probably go. I'm always hesitant buying something w/o playing it first, but like I said, I'm in a pinch. I was just mainly concerned about the low B speaking clearly. I've thought about getting the 115x as well, but I think that can wait. I run out to the house everyplace I play, so super lows are covered by the subs.

My vote is to get one. Find it at Guitar Center and you have 30 days to return it.
I loved them every time I played through one.

I paid $1250 Canadian$ for mine, have they gone up that much? I think I got the 115 for $1100 Canadian. They honestly rival any SVT for tone and power, and weigh less together than any 8X10, to me its a no brainer. What's an SVT and 8X10 cab worth?
