I currently use a GK MB115 and I was thinking of upgrading to what i mentioned above. I red a the Ohm faq briefly and i'm under the impression that you can run either the 1001rbII or 700rbII (both 4 ohms) through the 8 ohm Neo 210 cab. I think this setup would wreck but i just want to make sure this will work before i go invest $700+ in this setup. sorry if it seems like a dumb question (which it is) |

If the cab is 8 ohms, the amp will only push out what it can at 8 ohms.
It might be confusing, because the specs are hard to find for what they put out @ 8 ohms
700RB-II: 480W @ 4 ohm; 320W @ 8 ohm
1001RB-II: 700W @ 4ohm; 460W @ 8 ohm
If you get another 8 ohm cabinet, it will make the amp push out the full power @ 4 ohms.

I regularly gig a 112..... sometimes without PA support. |

Nails the GK tone, and it's easy to carry around, too. I also have a Neo 115 cab which I add to the stack for bigger, louder gigs - mostly classic rock and post-punk. Makes for a verstaile setup that covers all the bases. You won't be disappointed with your choice, but keep open to adding another cab later on.

I probably will expand once my gigs get bigger but as of right now i think the 700RB-II and Neo 210 will be just awesome for right now!. It for sure will be an upgrade from a 200w 115 combo, that's for sure. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
