Question Running head through combo

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I've saved up enough money to buy an SVT-4 Pro and am eager to go ahead and buy one, but in the meantime I have no extra cab to run it through. I do have a Behringer 450watt combo amp that is a 4x10 (4ohm) and was wondering if it would be possible or okay to run the Ampeg through the combo by sending the Ampeg's line out through the combo's effects in.

Would this be alright to do or should I just wait to buy a new cab for the Ampeg? Also, for a new cab do you guys have any suggestions? I'm thinking Ampeg 6x10 because i have a hatchback and can't fit an 8x10 in the back.

1 - Yep, that'll be fine. You'll be using the ampegs preamp, and your combos poweramp and speakers. (its safe for both)

2 - You might love the 610HLF, some guys do, but lots of others think its a big boomy sounding mess.

If you've got a Bergantino dealer nearby I'd suggest you try out one of their NV-series cabs.
If you dont have a berg dealer, I'd suggest you enter "NV610" into the talbass search window and spend some serious time reading about this amazing cab. Then order one shipped to you!

I prefer my Berg NV610 WAY more than either of the Ampeg HLF models with my SVT's and rock bands.
