Safe to run MB Fusion with no load (not loaf!)?

Sign in to disble this ad
Know I've read about people using the MB500 and MB200 with no speaker load, as preamps. Does the same apply for the MB Fusion?

It's OK running it without a loaf.

Whole loaf? Nah. Thats just more marketing hype from the bread industry. You can use pita or even your own healthy choice of cracker. Might I suggest a whole grain Wheat Thin?

;-)

Preamp tubes don't require a load. (eg. tube DI's) Power tubes on the other hand MUST have a speaker load on them, or damage will result. The Fusion like many hybrid amps (tube pre- SS power) is fine to power up without any.

I find most people enjoy bread with their butter.

Yes, you can run it without a load.

Anyway yes, no loaf is fine as it's not a tube amp.

That was funny, I'm still laughing. The only thing I don't understand is why would you need bread for an MB Fusion?

Well Mikke, your in Sweden so I don't know if you know about American idioms.
"Taking the Ball and run with it" is an American idiom. And bass players know how to "take the ball and run with it" on or off the stage.
