Sans Amp

Hey everyone, I am a bit new to amplifiers and live sound. I wish to start building a rack and love the sound of the sans amp, but I was wondering do you need a power amp to power the sans amp or does it have one built in? Sorry for the n00b question!

sans amp just acts as pre amp to go into either a DI to the board, some extra color into your own bass amp or into a power amp.

You just need a good power amp, or a good bass head and use its power amp.

Its like an eq..... no amp. It sends your signal to the poweramp & the poweramp will amp it loud !
So go get that RBI & join us crazies.

Do you know why you need to build a rack as opposed to getting a great integrated head?

Doesn't Mike Putnam offer a rack mount VT Bass + power amp option?

Perhaps he could do one with a different Tech 21 front end.
