Sansamp RPM Configuration

I've recently gotten a loan of a Sansamp RPM to try out. I'm a bit of a noob at setting up effects etc but the way I'm running this is from the sansamp output at the back into the input of my Genz Benz amp and then my bass into the input of the sansamp. Is there another way to go about setting this up where I'm basically using the GB as a power amp for the RPM or am I already doing that??

bass --> RPM main input
RPM main output --> fx loop return of Genz head.
This bypasses the Genz preamp, and uses the head as an uncolored power amp.
