Schematics for Peavey Max 112?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

My son's bass player brought his Peavey Max 112 over for me to look at. I was a radar tech in the USCG for four years so I can do component level repairs on anything electronic if I have a schematic. I Googled for one but didn't get a single hit. Anyone know where where I might get one?

In the alternative, in case there's any techs on the forum who might have experience on them - here's what I do know:

I read good power through the switch, all the fuses and to the xfmr primary. The secondary is putting out 25v and I forget the other one now something like 19 I think so I assume the xfmr is good since they usually open when they go tits up.

So I'm getting good voltage to the low voltage power supply (it looks like a power supply it is the smaller of the two ICBs. The red power light above the switch does not burn, but the kid said with the lights off you can see that it does burn ever so dimly.

That's about all I could do without a schematic. I haven't popped the ICBs off and turned them over to do a visual on the dirty side but that's next. Any help appreciated.

You should be able to call up tech support and request a schematic. The contact info is on the Peavey website.

If you have any trouble, send me a PM.

BTW...sounds like you have a low voltage problem.
