Schroeder 1212L vs Aguilar DB112

How do these 2 cabs compare?
They're both 1x12", and as far as I know they're both known for having pretty strong mids. Any opinions on which I should go for?

The Schroeder is a 2x12.

Oh dear. Shows how much I know. Nevertheless, how do they compare? I'm guessing the Schroeder will be a lot louder, but apart from that?

I have the schroeder 12" and love it ! Great clean tones, light weight and can handle 400 watts. Adjustable tweeter is nice feature. I use it for all my bar gigs and never had to have my little mark bass head above 4. This cabinet kicks clean. Have never tried the Aguilar so can't comment.

The 1212 isn't really a 'traditional' cab. it's small, its brutally loud, and it has a strongly emphasized mid without very much on the low end. If you need to hear on a decent sized stage, can only have a small cab and don't mind the low-end trade off, it may be the cab for you. It cuts through almost any mix, but isn't a big pillowy sounding cab. Much more of a sledgehammer.

Most of the Schroeder cabs are named so you can suss out their speaker arrangements...1212= 2 twelves, 1210=one twelve, one ten, etc.

Would you say it had an aggressive tone?
Do they work with the Tech 21 pedals (If the amp was say a LMII)?

I used my 1212 with a Mesa 400+ and with a LMII and it worked well. I don't use any pedals or tone shaping DI type effects, so I can't really chime in on that. I can say that yes, I found it an aggressive cabinet. I still have mine, but its not in regular rotation any more.

Thanks for your help.
Last question - If you have ever used a DB112, how do you think they compare?
