Schroeder 15L / 115L questions--model designations and porting

I'm looking at some Schroeder 15L's, and I have a question about how they are ported. Some of the 15L's I've seen have three hole porting in the left corner, while others have diagonal quasi-"ports" on either side of the speaker where the baffle ends. Can anyone explain which came earlier or later, whether the variation between them makes much of a noticeable sonic difference, and what, if any, the difference is between a 15L and a 115L?

I've got my 15L+ 8Ohm in March and it has the diagonal corner ports.
