So it was between the Peavey VB-2 and the Gallien Krueger 800RB. Each amp is really good and sounds amazing but I've always wanted an all tube head.

I am in Ontario, Canada so locating one of these was nearly impossible. I even called a few guitar center locations in the Detroit area and they said they never see these amps come through. The reviews on this amp were amazing but I am really reluctant to buy before I try.

I finally decided to call Peavey Customer Service and they put me in touch with a local Peavey sales rep and he found a VB-2 for me in minutes at MacAuley's Music in Cambridge!

If you are in the area and ever get a chance you have to stop by their store. Pete, Jenn and Matt are extremely helpful and they took good care of me knowing that I was driving in from out of town to look at this amp. I actually ALMOST purchased the VB3 which they also had in stock but it was out of my price range.

I tested this through Peavey's new 8x10 and 4x10 cabs which are really damn good! After about half an hour I was sold.

225W of all tube power, 5 year warranty, made in the USA and under $1000

Full review is coming soon!

Peavey rocks
