searching for new amp- bass/baritone

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok guys, opening myself up to suggestion here. Looking for a new head now that I'm living in England.Want something that i can use predominantly with a bass guitar but that will also work nicely with a baritone. It's got to be very present in the low end, decent amount of mids. High end I'm relatively easy on. Prefer tube thinking 200 watts or there about. It's got to be loud and articulate.either a full range clean or dirty amp works for me. I have a predisposition to using fuzz and too much of it. Will be playing everything from stoner rock through doom through metal. Throw in some psychedalic and some post rock and that's most of my bases covered. Wee bit of crust no doubt aswell.
Kinda short listing while I get opportunities to try them out.
So far I'm looking at
Orange ad200 or thunderverb 200
Soundcity 200
Matamp
Marshall vba400
Hiwatt 200
Are there any others I should bare in mind? Only had the opportunity to try the hiwatt and ad200s with bass. Will be trying with baritone soon.Old is good.New likewise. Cost isn't a major issue- happy to invest for the right piece of gear, looking to only do it once though Haha.
