Second cab to go with my GS410?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I've been considering buying another cab to go with my Aguilar DB750 GS410 for a full stack. The obvious choice seems to be just another GS410 but I wonder if it would be better to pick up a GS212 to put on the bottom of the stack. Sort of like in the old days when lots of us put a 15 under our 410. Like a 15, I'd think the 212 would give even more booty to the tone but others up here have said that mixing speaker sizes can yield some strange results. So I'd like to hear some opinions on this, especially if anyone has tried this mix.

Thanks!
Mike

Well, matching cabs give a predictable result, where mixing is a gamble.

I mix my Aggie S410 with the Aggie GS212 and they sound better together than separate. The GS410 might even be a better match.

When I used to run two GS410's together, it sounded INFINITELY better than when I used one GS410 with a GS115 on the bottom.

My vote is for two 410's.
