Hello, I'm selling a vintage 1965 Fender Bassman with it's original matching 2X12 Cabinet (Jensen C12N & Utah speakers). A local kid called me up asking to check out and possibly buy the amp. I told the kid my opinion which is it might not be the best amp for actually playing bass through. He says he is playing Beatles like rock and raggae so maybe it might work. Please give me your opinions on whether my amp would work for this kid and if he would be happy? I don't want to sell something to someone if it won't make them happy |

For reggae... unless he likes a very different kind of tone than the usual range for that genre... it won't work. At all. Except maybe recording.

Great guitar amps; you could maybe get away w/ bass at low levels, but most kids are probably going to crank it??? LOL

Been playing through the head into some ampeg 4x10 now, but the head is realllly gritty sounding. There's enough volume pushing through the cab to get around 2 guitars and a loud drummer though, but I wouldn't trust the cab to be loud enough paired with the head, especially a 2x12. |
