Separate COMBO amp to Cab and Amp Head ?

I use metro combo. Well, use it very well. Sound great and no problem.

Today morning, I just happened to think that I can divide it into 2 piece, Head and Cap.
Well, I don't think I can make Cap looks good but.... Head part... Maybe.

Everyone loves the Eden WT head, and so do I.

And, now..... I think, someone has tried before.
Anyone have experience on your Combo to Head or Cab ? ?

I have an Ashdown ABM-C210 or something like that. It sounds glorious for a 2x10 but it is painful to hump around. I built a head box for it and get a lot more use out of it now.

It's not very hard if you have some woodworking skills. The hardest part is locating the mounting screws, but I would not call that hard for most humans.

The same holds true for the cab part, but I never bothered to re-build the cab half because except for the Airhead look there was no reason I could see to do so.

Guitar players have been doing this sort of thing for many years, trimming heavy 2x12 combos down to two more easily portable units.

It's not worth doing, and will not do any good. It's a combo amp, leave it be, it was designed to be what it is, and the spkr box portion would not make for a really good cab by itself, because combo's usually have a smaller box than a comparable spkr cab. And, it would lose it's value. Abandon the very idea.
