| | | | serious question... I'm thinking about getting the Markbass LM800... but I want to run 2 cabs off of it. I have a 4ohm 412 cab, and want to run another 4 ohm cab... but there's only what appears to be ONE output?! Is that correct? I don't want to daisy chain cabs... I'm accustomed to seeing most amp heads with two outputs...*** markbass? Make an awesome head with a mono out... *sigh* |

In other words, you can't do it.
What's wrong with daisy chaining cabinets ? As long as your speaker cables are adequate there should be no problem. |

Minimum load is 4 ohms and two 4 ohm cabs will be 2 ohms = fried amp. You could use a special made series cable to run two 4 ohm cabs in series with the result of a drop in output power at 8 ohms (in which case you only need one output on the amp anyway). Dual speaker outs on most amp heads are mono still anyway.

| | | | Series You can do it. Have someone make you a cable so that the 2 cabs are in SERIES (+ to -). You'll only be running @ 8 ohms, but moving more air.
Also---- there is nothing wrong with running one cabinet to another (parallel). A parallel connection at the amp or cab is still a parallel connection. |

There will be a gain, but most people will only notice it with a meter. |
