Settings on your MARKBASS 102P combo with NY 1x12 cab ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Markbass CMD-102P combo and am running it with the Markbass New York 1x12 ext. cab. I love the sound of it with my Jazz bass but, the E string sounds a little flabby with the P-bass. Could this be the way i have the amp adjusted? I have the VLE and VPF turn off and gain set to about 10 o'clock. All tone setting are at 12 o'clock. Any suggestions? Thanks, Cliff

I've had my CMD102P for years now and the instructions that Markbass gives really helps...

Read about Master and gain and also about the VLE and VPF

I rarely use the VLE...just makes my bass muddy...VPF is nice for playing rock/pop.

Hey Flipper, I set my amp to your settings and it did take care of my flubby E string! I played around a little with it and ended up turning the Low and Med Mids down to 1 o'clock for my personal taste but, I think the VPF really did the trick. Thanks for the tip!
