Get a quote from a small carriers to see how much it would cost and pick the cheapest one. If you pack it up accordingly it shouldn't be worst then the major ones. I'm sure there are plenty of them in Montreal.

Every carrier has a freight division that takes heavier shipments. They ship it ground between cities. UPS Freight for example.

If you want to save money, you can have the package taken to a bus depot and then pick it up yourself at the terminal. I've done this with greyhound.

Not sure if there is a Greyhound bus package shipping service in Canada but I think their limit is 100lbs. Sometimes cheaper too.

It won't be worth it. drive it or buy another.

I see 410s on Craigslist for $200-300 all the time, every make.

If he needs to ship a 100 pound cabinet it sure as heck is not a four by ten.

Odds are it probably won't be worth it but it might be worth it to you, how committed to the cabinet are you OP?

driving down would be 150$ gas + 75$ ontario tax (13% instead of 5%)
pretty sure I could get it shipped for that amount and save the 12hour drive.
i'm looking into small carriers right now, waiting for some quotes back.

i'll drive to go pick it up if i need to. I'm committed.

I don't know what their weight restrictions are but Greyhound shipping operates in Canada. They're cheaper than UPS, Fedex, Purolator etc and have been reliable the six or seven times I've used them.

Eagle Global Logistics was always good for big stuff but I haven't dealt with them since they were bought by CEVA Logistics.

5%!!! And you guys are complaining about student fees!

You could always consider the trip as a driving vacation.
Remember that cup-o-tea that awaits your arrival!

Shipping

I had a 67 Fender Dual Showman cab shipped from Toronto to Halifax by Day & Ross. They even picked up in TO. Cost me about $ 60.00. Give them a call.

Purolator definitely will take it. You will pay a premium on shipping and you must be available to help the courier load it into his truck. Purolator policy is up to 70 lbs, the courier will load it into the truck himself/or herself. Anything between 70 and 150 lbs is considered a two person lift. Don't try to ship anything over 150 lbs.
