Probably not, but it's worth shopping around.

The United States Postal Service might be your best bet.

I sent a bass in a hard shell touring case from Cambridge MA to Hawaii overnight via FedEx for about 250 bucks. It got there on time and in undamaged.

IMO and IME, USPS is THE way to go. I have had som many problems with UPS and FedEx in the past that I try to avoid them at lal costs.

My past experiences with USPS have been very good, low prices and packages always arrive on time if not early; and I used to live in Puerto Rico.

IME yes, but whenever I actually go into to send an item it's been more expensive than the online quote.

In your case it seems USPS is the way to go.

Ever tried an insurance recovery with USPS ? me - I'd go with Fedex. All shippers carry some risk. over time I've had to file claims with most of them - I've missed DHL but mostly as they aren't really in the states anymore... USPS is the only time I've gotten beat on a damage claim. I still use them but only where I know it's something they can't kill...

I moved my family out here to Hawaii back in October. After looking at the prices for shipping I figured it'd be best just to leave my gear back home. Shipping prices are ridiculous these days. Good luck man.

Yes,shipping to Hawaii is very expensive. But,both UPS & FedEx are able to ship via ground service to Hawaii. What they do is surface via either truck/train to Ca. and then put it on a plane. It may take a few more days but if the buyer is not in a rush for the item.It will save them a few bucks.

Shipping..

I sold the Head for $165.00 shipped. With Fedex prices.. I should have donated it to a local school, and took a tax deduction..
