Should I buy an Aguilar GS212 or GS112?

I presently have an Aguilar DB750 going into an Aguilar GS112 cab. Sounds great for practice, but I'm thinking I'll need an additional 12" speaker to cover larger gigs better. Do you Aguilar experts think I should buy another GS112 and stack it, or should I buy a GS212 for gigs only? Pretty simple question I suppose.

I had a 212 cab but sold it. i found it too big for a lot of the bar gigs I do. I just bought a Aguilar DB112 that should cover most of my gigs. I plan on getting another for outdoor/bigger gigs. i find it more flexible to have two cabinets instead of one big one.

That's good advice. I was planning on keeping the GS112 if I bought the GS212. I guess the question has more to do with sound. Does a GS212 sound better than two GS112's?

IMO, NO.

I'm using a single GS112 in the pit of a Christmas musical and it sounds GOOD! I used a 2x gs112 rig in a loud blues band - ditto... AND I got the guitarist to have to ask me to turn down!

More speaker area is always better, I wouldn't even hesitate. I'm getting another 212 to go with the one I already have, and I'm not a loud player by any means.

While I did sell my GS212, it was a nice cab. I now use (another brand) 2-112 cabs. I would buy another GS112.

I'd get a 2nd GS112 as well. I've been playing a pair for a long time now, they are great cabs and sound fantastic.

I currently have a GS212. Its more than what i need, but it sounds pretty awesome. Deep with nice highs, subdued midrange. I have read here that people think it is fuller than 2 GS112s. I do not know this from experience. It is just what others have written about here.

I also have a Bergantino HT112. While it has a lot more midrange than the GS212, it doesnt have nearly the low end extension. The Aggie gets deep compared to this model of Bergantino.

Im running a DB 750 with a GS 1x12NT and a GS 1x12 w/ tweeter and love the tone I get with both cabs. Super fat, and sits in the mix perfectly, even with a loud rock band. I get nothing but compliments on the tone with these cabs.
As someone mentioned earlier it's great to be able to just grab one for a rehearsal or cafe gig, or have both which are PLENTY LOUD for any bar/club show I'd ever do. All fits in the Jeep easily too
