Should I fix it? Or get something else entirely?

So, I was offered my old position as bassist in a band that doesn't require much in terms of a bass amp.

I was thinking about looking around and seeing about picking up a small 100 watt amp, but then started considering just having my Ampeg B100R repaired.
It needs a 4ohm 15" Sub and a bit of repair work done on the inputs. Other than that, she sounds awesome..

So, what would you do? Repair, or look elsewhere?

That's a great amp, maybe even a classic. It's worth fixing, but that doesn't mean you don't crave a change. Try some new digital lightweight neo combos (GK115, Orange Crush Pix 100, Acoustic B200) to see if they're a fit, tone-wise. Maybe you'll like them, and your back will thank you.

Fix that B100R for sure, and then buy something new if you want.
