Should I get an Ampeg BA108 (25W) or should i save up for an Ampeg BA112(50W)?

I've been looking to get a decent sounding amp just to practice with at home, and I've been thinking of getting an Ampeg Ba108.
Would it be worth saving up another £80-90 (I get 10 per week) to get the 50 watt version or should I go for the 25 Watt version? Or, should a get a completely different amp? The type of tone I'm going for is Joe Principe's (Rise Against) tone, but with no distortion.

EDIT: Would either of these amps be loud enough to play along with an acoustic drum kit?

If its just for home practice the 25 watt model should work fine but if you were to play with drums the ba112 will cut through only with a lower volume band for small jobs. I find the input gain weak on these amps with a passive bass but if i run my vt pedal into my ba112 i can get it loud enough to use with my band at lower volumes for smaller jobs without distortion. I do love the tone of this amp. I dont think the ba108 would cut through a drum kit.

Neither will be as loud as a drummer unless your drummer is really gentle.

Are you looking at buying it new? Your £200 or however much the BA112 is at the moment would be better spent on something from the BC classifieds. A used Ashdown MAG for example. You can't give those away at the moment, no idea why because they're really decent amps for the cash.
