Right now im in the market for a new amp, now i have a used peavey 210 headline cab i got used from Guitar center, and was thinking about getting the Gallien-Krueger Backline 600 Head for it. But as i was searching i found the Gallien-Krueger MB115 cab, know i only really have the money to buy one or the other and if i get the MB115 ill have to take the cab back to GC to have enough to buy it, so i was wondering which i should i probably get and just general opnions on my situation, much thanks

I have the MB115 combo. I like GK's amps. And the neo 15" is a really nice driver. Tighter and with a more balanced tone than a ceramic 15", but with more depth than 2x10.

Plus I like GK's 4 band EQ. The limiter and boost are nice. And the thing weighs like 35 pounds. So if weight is an issue for you, that's at least something to think about.

I should also point out that I don't like Peavy that much, to be fair.

I would go with the backline600 as later on you can always upgrade the head or the cab for your taste i currently own the MB115 Gk its a good amp nice for small room gigs but unless you have PA support then this amp in a big Room wouldnt sound great. Yes its very light for a combo at 35 pounds and pretty LOUD for a combo its size but at the same time it lacks real volume in bigger gig-ing rooms the horn is horrible it just makes a HISS sound slaping and poping is pretty decent but it is a 15ich speaker so it wouldnt sound as good at high volumes since this amp seems to throw out alot of Lows but either one would do you good there both great amps!

yes, get the Backline head, use it with your 210, and save up for another 210.

A head and a cab wil always be more versatile than a combo. Most combos have compromises in their design that are not needed in a separate head/cab.
