Have a chance to pick up a Carvin rig local for cheap. It all works great and is in decent physical shape. Its about $100

Carvin Bass Pro 300
Carvin 1x15 cabinet

It seems like a no brainer but I probably won't keep it as I've enough amps already. Whats a rig like this worth?

Since Carvin gear is already cheaper brand new than 90% of everything out there - the resale value will not be high at all. If you are not going to keep the setup, there is no point in buying it. I think you probably could get $200 used on Craigslist, but honestly, this economy will make you wait several months before you get someone to pay you that. And that would be quite lucky....

Someone on my local CL also has just the Probass 300 head also for $100.

I thought about picking it up for keeping in the garage instead of firing up a tube amp, but I probably wouldn't be able to get rid of it later if I needed to.

I used to have a pb500 that was a nice sounding amp...better than the redlines that followed IMO. There hard to get fixed anywhere should anything happen but for $100 I'd pick it up and leave at a practice space/home or wherever you wanted a rig to be without having to move one. If it breaks you're not out much or down the road if it's still working you could sell it to some kid stepping up from a practice combo..recoup your money and give him a good deal at the same time...if it breaks on him, he's not out much.
