I havent seen a 4x12 thread in awile, and since I just picked up an SWR 12-stack cab from uber TB'er JGR, I feel the need to share. This baby is like rolling thundah with my LMII! I would put it up against almost any 8x10 for pure air movement.

The top cab is a 4x12 (model 1520). And it is an actual Marshall bass cabinet. Same dimensions as a 1960B guitar cab, but about 3 inches deeper.

Cheers!

My 12 stack. I absolutely love this cab. It sounds incredibly loud, and it pairs perfect with the VB-2. Sorry for the phone picture quality.

I have a '70's V4 4X12 guitar cab that I loaded w/2 Delta 12's. I run my V4B through it and it kills! I wonder if it would be worth scoring a couple more of those Delta 12's to make a 4X12 again... yeah, I'll need a roadie to move it but it could be awesome-sounding. Does anyone know offhand if that would need to be ported to work well? Thanks, hope this isn't a derail...

Mine sounded great with all four speakers loaded, (2512s like John), no ports, loud as balls... Right now, with only the two, I have the other two holes completely sealed and it sounds great as well... Honestly, I doubt that I'll ever gig this rig again, (leaving that band, and haven't had this onstage since May), so I'm probably going to be unloading this cab and selling it empty...

Good to know. I'll bet that cab sounds amazing! I have the other 2 completely sealed as well, but I wondered about filling them w/more Eminence goodness. I know the 4 speakers can be wired for 4 ohms total. Is that what yours is? What's the resistance of the 4 raw speakers individually? Thanks!
