Show your Ashdown

So, as there is a Trace Elliott thread doing well, let's see how many of you own Ashdown. Also, this could be an opportunity to find out how many of you happily own an Ashdown as I have read a lot of negative comments about them. If this gets popular I may found the Ashdown owner's club...

So, Let's see them!

My Ashdown EB180, still getting used to the controls, finding the DI out very useful.

No problems for over a year! And I expect it to do well for some more! Great sound.

Great idea to do a thread like this! I've thought about it too, but kudos for actually doing it!

the un-Ashdown

I don't have a pic, but mine is the Ashdown that isn't an Ashdown; the Euphonic Audio iAmp UK model. These were made by Ashdown for EA, under contract. Mine is at least part Ashdown; the main power amp board is labeled Ashdown ABM500.

My baby Ashdown

I bought this used last year and I love it. I practice with it, rehearse with it and gig with it a lot of the time. This is a single 10" speaker, I'm not sure what the name of the cab is.

Sadly not mine anymore as it was just too big and heavy. Great rock sound with my P and Ray though.

*Stupid question alert* So you'd all recommend Ashdown? I'm looking at ordering a MAG300 and a 410 in the next couple of weeks.

If you like the big fat warm tone, yes.

So, who'd like to join the Ashdown owner's club then? PM me for a number...

Having had over a year with something near enough identical to your rig Id say yes, theyre fantastic amps for the money. Brilliant if you like the big old school tone.

Thanks guys. I've tried a few of them and am pretty settled on the idea. I preferred the sound of the 410 over the other cabinets alone. Anyway, just thought I'd ask... thanks again

How do you find that little aggie's sound with the Ashdown powering it? I'm trying to talk myself out of buying one...

Two ABM 300 combos, run in stereo off a Ric 4003.

Both were bought second hand. Each one was over a year old when I got it. Never had a problem with either of 'em.

Clever setup there, however do you run the amps on top of each other or next to each other to get more of a stereo effect?

It's absolutely great in every aspect: punchy, articulate, loud, ...
I don't notice any mid scoop at all (as others have stated) with this cabinet.

I must confess though that I prefer my EVO500/Aggie212 or even better EVO500/Aggie212/Aggie112 combination.
But that is only for the big big stages

I am usually using the 112 for inear gigs, the 212 for "normal monitoring" gigs and both cabs on big/outdoor stages for the fun of it.

But every combination sounds great with the EVO500!!
It sounds better that any SWR amp or my Sansamp RBI/QSC rig.
