The Carvin private-label Eminence 600W 8ohm exposed. You can see it BARELY fits in the cab, which is what makes this cab so delightfully portable. Had a KappaLite 3015 (non-LF) in it until that started to sound a little ragged, but boy HOWDY was it easy to carry then! The Carvin amp riding shotgun is a standard 2-space rackmount to give size reference. This cab really is pretty small.

This mod I did REALLY makes transport a breeze:

And with a slightly more recognizable size reference.
Interesting. Did you build it or is it a Carvin cab?

Oh, for heaven's sake... just reread my OP and realized I never said what it *is*! This is a Sonic MicroMini 15. Fixing OP too.

Nice. I'll look at the back of it later. I'll have to take the back of the cabinet off.
Is there any flaws or weaknesses in it that you know of?

5-string basses weren't around when the cabinet was designed. Beyond that, it really boils down to the speaker that's inside and how healthy it is.

Here's my GK 115MBE (purchased used for $150) on NYE. As you can tell, I run the PA rig, too. I forgot to plug the 115 before the first set and really noticed it being gone. It's cheap, light and loud. Stacked on its side, there's plenty of room for the mixer.

Oh, and if you're gonna blast me for mixing cabs, please do it in another thread. LOL

My "newest" cab, Mesa/Boogie Diesel 2x15

A 1x15 Traynor that used to be a 2x15

My first 1x15, with Eminence Legend replacing the factory speaker.

I don't know if it's a great idea to put that mixer directly on your bass cabs.

We are often really cramped for space, as we were on NYE. Because I run the board from stage, I need it handy. I'm curious--why would it be a bad idea? Heat? Vibrations? Just curious.
