The vibrations would worry me. It may not be that big of a deal, I'm probably paranoid.

Slab of foam, anything would do. Problem solved.

My build.
3015's - modified TL-606 based.

Thinking that this year I might re-house the drivers in a lighter-weight enclosure.

Yes. I don't want for tone, volume, or thump. Would be nice to get a little lighter. It's 95+ lbs right now.

IMO any SUNN head is awesome AFAIK the Concert series red knobs were the same inside as the silver ones were.

I'm not so sure about that. The red knob Concerts have four knobs, the silver knob amps have five since they also have a Distortion circuit.

I have no idea if they're the same other than the Distortion circuit.

This amp has the following features:

Normal and bright inputs
Treble boost switch
Volume
EQ: bass, midrange, treble
Distort

vs the red knob:

Yep I forgot about the red knob not having the distort circuit. I do however remember that I didn't like the the distortion circuit in the silver knob heads. It's possible the red knob Concert Bass might have had a bit more power too. It's been a very long time since I've seen or played through one of those.

my original bass amp was a fender concert guitar amp w/special design 15" which i quickly blewout w/my '62 jazz bass. replaced it w/new gold piggyback bassman w/15". amazingly that setup w/the 44 rms w. head & my gibson sg style ebo bass was plenty loud for dance halls w/stage for up to 1,200 people playing 50s/60s r n'b, soul, british. later bought but soon sold a standel w/2 15" jbl d140s. in interest of portability went to a polytone minibrute IV w/15". bought g-k 1001 rbII 115 combo + gk115 neo cab for my warwicks. just bought a genz benz streamliner 600 amp to run the g-k neo & will probably sell g-k combo, i love it but a little bulky for a sportscar & hard to handle for a gimp.
