Shuttle 1x12 or 2x10

Hey there, I've been offered a good deal at my local music store on either of these combos with the shuttle 6.0
Just wondering if anyone could inform me of the advantages or disadvantages of each one and which might be the better choice. The 2x10 has the two speakers stacked vertically. Cheers.

Play them both, see what you think. In the end, whichever one you choose, you'll want an additional identical ext cab anyway, imo.

I'm looking to eventually add an extension cab, but at the moment just the one. I should have clarified, I cannot try them as they have to order in the one that I want. I have tried the 1x12 in another city before and liked it very much

I guess a better way of putting my question would be: What's the difference between the two on a sonic level

Having played both, I went with the 2x10. It was louder. At lower volumes the 1x12 is fatter sounding. Ive been playing with stacked 2x10s for a while now and a single 2x10 is nearly as loud as the stacked 2x10s each running 375. You expect the two 2x10s stacked to be loud...but the single 2x10 was surprising for more than a few soundmen!

Overall they are a very similar flavor - clear, defined, not boomy, wont flap your pants, but very loud for what they are....and CRAZY light weight.

The 2x10 is rated at 400 watts and the 1x12 @ 300. If you only go with one cab...I vote 2x10. Having said this...stacked 12's would be awesome too.

Keep in mind there isnt a lot of upgrade opportunity going this route other than the extension cab. If you opt for the neox 212, you will have more options down the road.
