Anyone using a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with a fEarful 15/6?
I believe the fEearful is an 8 ohm cab and likes a lot of power.
The Shuttle 6.0 goes 375 watts into 8 ohms. (I really like my NeoPak, but it's only 225 watts into 8 ohms.
If you've used the Shuttle 6.0 with a fEarful 15/6, I'd like your impressions.

The 9 would rule.
And again, the 15/6 doesn't necessarily NEED a lot of power, but it will TAKE a relatively high level of power. The 6 will sound fine, but you will not be taking advantage of the output potential of that 8ohm cab IMO and IME. |

I have found myself wanting more dynamic power/headroom occasionally though as I've been doing a lot of outdoor shows.
I'll give a big fat +1 to the Shuttle 9.0

BUT - I have a NeoPak and a 6.0, and while I am *considering* a 15/6, upgrading my entire rig is not in the picture...
Great information, thanks gents.

Great information, thanks gents. | Ah, I though you were considering buying a Shuttle 6 to replace your NeoPak. If that were the case, I'd save up for the 9.
You should be fine. You will just not be getting the most low end and volume out of the cab that it is capable of. However, since the Shuttle 6 is a bit 'tight and bright' like the F1 and F500 that I've tried many times with the 15/6 (and that RPSANDS mentions above), the tone should be great. If you end up needing more oomph, you can save your pennies for a Shuttle 9 or a Markbass SD1200!
The big decision IMO is the 15/6 versus the 15/6/1... depending on if you need upper treble sparkle or not. |

And mostly these days, for my funk rig I'm running the Omni10 with an Omni 10.5, for 2.67 ohms (which the NeoPak handles) and 3 10's.
Which might give a 15/6 a run for its money. I'd love to A/B them.
I'd also love to get to a 1 cab haul, but that may not be in the cards at the moment.
I'd simply love to try a 15/6. Technically a 15/6/1 - I like having that sparkle available.

So, from my experience with the AE112's and AE410, it will be punchier in the mids, grindier in the upper mids, and of course, extend much more into the upper treble (unless you add a tweeter to the 15/6). Quite different.
I'll hunt down two clips of my Youtube channel and post in a minute. One will be the AE410 and one will be a 1212/6/1. To me, TOTALLY different tones. Of course, one is a 410 and one is a 212, but the AE212 should be closer to the AE410 than to the 1212/6/1.
Edit: Just realized I don't have an A/B with the same head and bass betwee these two cabs.

| | Blah blah blah | | Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Tuscola | | I have a 6.0 and a 12/6. Just a few weeks ago I played an inside gig of about 400 seated and it was a large enough room for double that. I didn't even have it halfway up. Though this was a church gig and wasn't a slammin hard rock gig.
This set up does everything I need it to but for outdoor shows I use an ampeg svt410hlf with the 6.0 and keep my 12/6 at home as a coffee table.
