Shuttle 6.0 operate without tube?

If the tube in the Shuttle 6.0 is broken, will the amp still operate? In other words, is the tube integral to the preamp, or is there a separate solid state pre that the tube mixes with that will permit use of the amp even if the tube is 'out' of the circuit?

Carvin offers a tube bypass switch.
It probably saves them hundreds of service calls.
