ShuttleMax 6 vs 9
 

I currently use a Shuttle 9.0 and intend upgrading to a Max, mainly because I after a cleaner sound, not to mention all the extra contol.

To my question, it is a known fact that the Shuttle 6 has a less powerfull bottom end sound than the Shuttle 9, so is this still the case with the ShuttleMax models?

To put another way, does a ShuttleMax 6 have the same rolled-off bass response as a Shuttle 6?

No. Of course, the Max 6 has been discontinued, and there aren't many out there.

The voicing of the low end of the Shuttle 6 was based on that head driving the small Shuttle cabs. All the Max heads were voiced similar to the Shuttle 9 from the start.
