Side handles for new Ampeg portaflex cabs

Sign in to disble this ad
I guys and gals -

I am pretty set on solving my small gig portability issue by getting a pf 210he or pf115he for my pf-500. However I'd like to put side handles on it. What do you recommend and will it damage the cab at all?

If you absolutely have to, Welcome to Fliptops -- Parts for Ampeg and other Vintage Amp Lovers sells handles similar to the originals. I say they disrupt the feng shui of the cab, though

Very cool link... thanks... another resource I didn't know about.

If there's one thing I don't like about my 115, it's the single top handle. Even though it's not heavy, I find it difficult to carry up steps, through a narrow hallway etc.

I got used to it from having a B-15. I just do one hand at the bottom and one on the side. Works for me. I like leaving stuff the way it is. I don't have my PF350 bolted to the lid, either.

I'd go with the chrome side handles from Fliptops. They look cool and were original to the B12X's, B18's, and the BT15 cabs in the 60's. Plus they are only a couple bucks more than the standard dog bone handles.
