Seismic Audio Any experience with their Speakers??

If money is tight one safe option is to rent solid gear with an option to buy it--after one tries it. Some music store rental departments will offer a limited warranty on their rental stock too.

I have one of these. Two, actually - a 410 and a 210. They are okay at low volume, but really start farting when pushed. I bought an entire rig which included these cabs, and the cabs were def. the weakest link. I would not recommend them.

As mentioned in the link provided by very emotional people when you spend the minimum they have to save money on components. This means the speaker itself is going to be cheap and a compromise (thus the farting).

Having said that there are owners of SA cabinets that are very happy with them and have decided to live with the compromises.

One way to go is to buy an empty cabinet from them and load it with your own drivers. I bought an empty SA-115 off Ebay for $100 and added acoustic padding then loaded it with a 3015. Sounds potent and weights nothing.

When you're on a tight budget well made used gear in good condition is always a better choice than inexpensive new. That's especially true in tough economic times when the used market is flooded.
