Silly little Bergantino nameplate question

Sign in to disble this ad
The Bergantino soft plastic nameplate keeps on falling off my HT112ER. It seems to have been originally stuck on with tape, I tried new double sided tape but it still falls off after a bit of playing. I have tried blutak(stays on longer) and a hot glue gun (fell off after a little while).
I know this is inconsequential in the long term scheme of things, but I like to keep my gear looking good. Has anyone else had this issue and found a simple fix? I am sure there must be an obvious answer.

I haven't had this issue with mine, but I recommend emailing or calling Jim directly. The consensus around here is that his customer service is outstanding.

Unless they are endorsing you I wouldn't worry about it.

Just a touch of super glue, and you should be good to go.

Silicone (as in those tubes of sealant you use in bathrooms) is very good for sticking badges on. Damps vibration, sticks well, lasts indefinitely. You may need to rough up the back of the badge for a better adhesive joint. Superglue is very brittle so whilst it will work in the short term it won't stay on there if you knock it hard.

I was sceptical but my badge manufacturer was quite insistent - we get through boxes of the stuff because our badges are rather large!

Cheers guys, I hadn't thought of silicone - makes sense. I have some out in the garage so will give it a go tonight.
