Silverface Bassman 100?

Is anyone using one? There's one on my local craigslist for 450 that I'm considering buying

with a matching cab? if so, good deal, otherwise, that's enough money to buy alot more wattage.

If you want old school and don't need tons of volume, I've heard some great ones for sure...if it has the matching cab, I'd snap it up, if only for recording

Would it be good for stoner/doom stuff? I was mostly looking at it as a guitar head anyway, so I think I may snag it

I have one I used one for bass for several years. It'll give you the tone & sound you want (for bass), with an outboard graphic eq, & I used an outboard compressor.

I've used it for guitar, also; l have to tell you that Bassman's have 1 basic tone: clean, verrrrry clean. I suppose you could overdrive them to growl, but it'll take outboard FX, the basic tone is none of that.
