Which is the better setup? A good 410 rated at 4 ohms or a pair of 8 ohm 210's?
I like the idea of the paired 210 set up, but would you lack the depth and punch of a single 410?

In fact, the 2x10 cabs would offer many benefits, such as vertical stacking or leaving one home for smaller gigs. FWIW the mighty Ampeg 8x10 is nothing more than four 2x10 enclosures. Every 2 drivers operate in their own space.

It sounds great and I believe it could take a direct hit from a sidewinder missile and live to tell about it, but it is one more back breaking, bulky bit of kit come moving time.

If you aim them just right I may hear them from here.

Love both cabs but my back is far happier with the Hydrive! I do like the versatility of the 2, 210 idea.

And with a smaller head on top it won't look as funny. |
