Anybody ever do gigs ( not just practice) sitting on their cabs?
I usually sit and was thinking I would have a more compact setup and not having to bring a chair is one less thing to remember.
Maybe just a 15 in a box.
This is obviously for smaller gigs.
I don't have a single 15 in a box, or I would just try one, of course.
Thanks |

I sit on my GK MB115. I hate it when my huge booty bumps the controls, though

front of a store. The bass player was sitting on his 115 combo amp.
It looked like a good idea to me.
He was really groovin'. Even if I hadn't thought it was a good idea,
I would have forgiven him. It's the music that counts. |

And it makes me giggle while I sit at work bored and by myself. 8 customers and $45 dollars in sales in the last 4 hours. Cool. |

I have an MB 115 & I'm not the smallest guy either and there is no way I would sit on it. It's not exactly made of oak, it's lighter weight material, (ply I think)...It might support you now, but I think eventually you are going to hear a loud crack or cause significant damage to it... |

And yeah, I don't have to turn up as loud to "hear" myself.

I sat on my avatar 112 for a couple songs one time. Im surprised how much I could feel the music. maybe the cab doesnt have enough bracing? it's otherwise a solid cab... |

I'm intrigued by the African downfiring speaker/stool Thimbu.
Been thinking about something like that forever.
